Even imagined universes are interesting to explore. Isn't
it fascinating to let go of all prejudices, relax and see how some authors
and film teams imagine probable futures, extrapolated from Gene Roddenberry's
initial visions?
The future in Star Trek is at least a future in which humanity
has evolved into greater maturity. It is a positive vision of a universe
where different races can coexist, cooperate and respect each other...
even if for marketing sake, the film script authors think they cannot avoid
scenarios of conflicts and crime. I ask the question: Are these really necessary?
Are humans conditioned in a way that they are bored by stories containing
no crime, conflicts or wars?
